We work for overall community development with focus on Health, Sanitation, Sustainable Agriculture, Education, Women Empowerment, Environment, Rehabilitation of destitute since last 36 year.
Vikas Kendra
The initial project of SEVA, started its journey in 1985 is based in Baduria and surrounding three blocks in the district of North 24 Parganas with focus on organic agriculture and life-skill development.
Manab Jamin
A project of SEVA has completed two decades of developmental works mainly in the tribal and marginal villages in Bolpur- Sriniketan and Illambazar blocks of Birbhum district of West Bengal with focus on primary education.
Ananda Kendra
The abode of joy. The lonely senior citizens, destitute women and the orphan /underprivileged children are nurtured here together like a large family for their integration in the mainstream of society.

Society for Equitable Voluntary Actions (SEVA) started its journey in the year 1984 under the leadership of Sri Asok Ghosh, in whose view Rabindra Nath is our sky and Mahatma Gandhi our soil. SEVA was formed to fight the three enemies of our society – poverty, illiteracy and apathy.

Values
Pledge of SEVA is to struggle relentlessly against poverty, illiteracy, ill health, gender discrimination, superstition and erosion of basic human values, religious fundamentalism and degradation of the eco-system. Presently concentrating in remote areas of North 24 Parganas and Birbhum.
We aspire for a society based on the values of participation, cooperation, trust, empathy and sustainability, irrespective of the differences of caste, creed, gender and religion; a society that upholds the right to freedom of thought, opinion and expression and thus promoting the social, economic and cultural interest of each member living in an environment protected from human outrage in any form.
Our organisation SEVA was formed to fight the three enemies of our society –
Poverty.
Illiteracy. and
Apathy.
