Ananda Kendra, the Centre of Joy has been established in 1993 and is functional since 1995. The Senior Citizens, Social Orphans, Battered Women and Child Labours are main participants of this project. We have started and continuing this experiment with unfortunate four sections of our society to road to life.

There is a comprehensive plan for the all round development of these people. Children are being brought up here with love and care towards an all round development. They attend local schools with other children of the village and are provided with different sorts of socio-cultural exposures for their integration in the mainstream of society. They learn dance, music, handicrafts, mime, gardening, organic farming and other extra-curricular activities for their all round development. Women get informal education and trainings for their future rehabilitation.

Building up of awareness and consciousness about the world environment as well as national integrity is very important step towards that end. We observe various days of importance and significance with active participation of the inmates. Days of National Importance and days of festivities are also observed with due enthusiasm by the inmates of Ananda Kendra.

Presently Ananda Kendra is having approval as the Swadhar Greh under Ministry of Women & Child Development and also functioning as Child Care Institute (CCI) under J.J. Act, 2015.

The residents are making jute products, hand-made-paper bags, greetings cards, recycled artifacts and are also engaged in the food processing unit of Vikas Kendra. The girls here make eco-bags from used synthetic Sarees as an environment-friendly affordable alternative to plastic carry bags.
